What it costs
Two shapes of job cover almost everybody. Both include everything you need to actually use the connection, not just the cable.
One room

One room connected properly. The room you work in, usually.
Two rooms, all-in

The typical job. Two people working in two rooms, or one office and one loft.
Each extra room
+£100
From £100 a room while we're already there and the ladders are up.
Indicative, not a quote. The survey produces the real number and it is fixed in writing before anyone drills anything.
Included
What's in the price
- The survey itself, free, whether or not you go ahead.
- External runs in solid copper, UV-rated Cat6.
- Clips or conduit, following the building's existing lines.
- Drilling, sloped and sealed at both ends.
- RJ45 wall sockets at every end.
- A multi-gigabit switch in each room.
- Patch cables of the correct grade.
- Every run tested and labelled.
- Honest advice about your own equipment, including when the answer is that you do not need us.
Not included
What's not in the price
- Routers, and access points if you want wifi at the far end too. We will tell you which to buy rather than selling you one.
- Any internal cabling through floors or walls. That is a different job and not one we do.
- Scaffolding, if a route genuinely needs it. Rare, and we would tell you at survey rather than on the invoice.
Why not a flat price
Houses are not the same shape
A rigid fixed-price package does one of two things. It overcharges the straightforward jobs to cover the awkward ones, or it squeezes the awkward ones until corners get cut. Neither is a good deal for you.
What moves the number: how many rooms, how far the cable has to travel around the building, whether the route needs ladder work above the first floor, and whether you want spare runs pulled while we are there. On that last one we will usually say yes: cable is cheap, and coming back to drill and seal all over again is not.
