Home network cabling in Chorlton
Big Victorian semis with side returns, and a lot of houses that have been split into flats.
Chorlton splits neatly into two for our purposes. The large Victorian and Edwardian semis, particularly around Beech Road and the roads off Barlow Moor, are close to ideal: a side return gives a clean, hidden route from front to back, and the houses are big enough that wifi genuinely struggles at the far end.
The other half is the conversions. A great many Chorlton houses are now two or three flats, and a flat usually rules this method out, because the cable would have to cross a wall or a space that is not yours. If you own the whole building it is a different conversation and worth having.
Large houses are where wifi fails hardest, because distance compounds with every wall. Chorlton has a lot of large houses.
What we do
A cable around the outside, not through the middle
We run weatherproof, solid copper Cat6 around the outside of your house, from your router to the rooms you actually work in. Two small sealed holes, proper wall sockets at each end, a multi-gigabit switch in each room, and every run tested. Nothing goes through your floors or your plaster, so there is nothing to redecorate.
One question decides whether it will work at your house: can you walk around the outside from the front to the back without crossing a neighbour's land? If you can, we can almost certainly help. If you cannot, we will tell you for free.
